Participated in the Summer Theater Management and Stagecraft Intensive (STMSI), a pre-college program at UCLA focused on professional-level production processes, collaboration, and leadership in technical theater.

About the Musical

Urinetown the Musical is a satirical comedy that combines sharp political commentary with classic musical theater style. The production explores themes of corruption, environmental crisis, and social responsibility — all through humor and song.

🎬 My Role During Rehearsals

As Stage Manager, I was responsible for maintaining organization, communication, and efficiency throughout the rehearsal process.
Key responsibilities included:

  • Preparing and organizing the rehearsal space
  • Tracking attendance and managing rehearsal breaks
  • Recording director’s notes and blocking
  • Coordinating props and scene transitions
  • Maintaining paperwork, including:
    • Pre-production materials
    • Digital and paper blocking notes
    • Running paperwork and rehearsal reports
    • Daily call sheets
    • Sound script documentation

✍️My Role During Performances

During the run of the show, I worked across multiple technical areas to ensure smooth execution of each performance, including:

  • Follow Spot Operator
  • QLab Operator
  • Props Assistant (Stage Left)
  • Backstage Monitor
